A Little More About Me

I graduated from Ball State University in 2014 with a degree in Spanish Education and a certification to teach ELL (English Language Learner) students. I moved to (location) after graduating and I am excited to continue growing and developing as a professional while pursuing my career, and passion, at (insert school name).

Why did I decide to go into teaching?

As soon as I started taking Spanish classes as a sophomore in high school, I instantly fell in love with the language and knew that I needed to find some way to incorporate it into my career plans. In my high school classes, I was the one that people came to when they needed help with their homework or with understanding the material that we were learning in class. The language made sense to me, and being able to make it make sense to others gave me a feeling of gratification and accomplishment. I have also had many experiences working with children, and through this, I have realized that there are few things more satisfying than knowing that you are a positive influence in other people’s lives. This is why I have decided to combine my two passions- Spanish and helping others- and become a Spanish teacher.
